​One year ago today, the Mountain State Directory of Sovereign Grace Congregations quietly came to life. It began with a simple hope and mission: to help believers find biblical, Christ-exalting, gospel-preaching churches across West Virginia, and to see the truth of God’s free and sovereign grace ripple through our hills once again.

 

By the Lord’s mercy, He has done more than we imagined. In these twelve months, we’ve seen brothers and sisters connected to faithful local churches. We’ve watched pastors and preachers form bonds of fellowship, sharing burdens, prayers, and encouragement. We’ve witnessed and supported new plants, re-plants, and revitalizations across the state. We’ve gathered to plead for revival — real, Spirit-wrought revival in our cities, towns, and hollers. And through it all, we’ve sought to make much of our Lord Jesus — His glory, His gospel, and His kingdom in the Mountain State.

 

To mark the first year of this amazing grace, we’re releasing a special edition anniversary coffee mug in a custom color we’ve named Stone Chapel Grey — inspired by the weathered beauty of old mountain churches that have stood for generations; a tribute to the enduring witness of Christ’s church in West Virginia: steady, simple, and unmoved. Our Lord is still building His church, and “the gates of hell will not prevail” (Matt. 16:18).

 

This 16oz ceramic mug is made for coffee-loving, gospel-proclaiming Christians — especially pastors and preachers. Our motto “For Christ’s Kingdom in Christ’s Mountains “ is permanently sandblasted into the mug (not printed), so it will never fade. It is a quiet daily reminder that your life is not your own and that you were bought with a price (1 Cor. 6:19–20); a reminder that you rise each day by God’s grace with one great mission: to preach Christ and shepherd His people until He comes.

Every dollar goes directly to the mission of the Directory — helping maintain our website, printing gospel literature, promoting sound churches, and lifting high the name of Jesus throughout our state.
